Athens Ohio Marathon is Ohio’s longest running marathon – was founded in 1968. Participants will launch in stunning downtown Athens. The race courses are certified and the marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

Race Info
All finishers of both distances will receive medals. Overall male and female winners will receive cash prizes ($150 for the Marathon, $100 for the Half Marathon). Awards will not be mailed. The top 3 men and women in age groups will receive awards.
There will be aid stations along the course with water, isotonics, bananas and oranges. The time limit for the race is 6 hours.

Both courses are USATF certified. The courses will be well marked. The courses are fast and flat.
