The Anchorage Mayor’s Marathon and Half Marathon is typically held on the Saturday closest to the summer solstice. The race has been attracting runners from all over the world for almost 50 years.

Race Info
The Marathon and Half Marathon start at Kincaid Park, located approximately 4 miles south of downtown Anchorage. Shuttles will be available prior to the race. The finish line is at Delaney Park Strip located almost in the heart of downtown Anchorage.
Runners come to Anchorage not only to participate in the race but also to enjoy some breathtaking sights just beyond the city such as glaciers, rich wildlife, Denali, or Prince William Sound.

Course Map
The marathon course is certified by USA Track and Field as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The Mayor’s Marathon takes runners on a scenic journey throughout Anchorage. The race is on pedestrian pathways and forested trails, the final half-mile runs through an urban Anchorage neighborhood.
